夜探大埔滘 -- 螢火蟲及夜間生物生態之旅
校友會於2012年8月4日晚上舉行「夜探大埔滘 -- 螢火蟲及夜間生物生態之旅」，當晚邀請了資深導賞團訓練導師及漁護署義工茹明輝先生為校友作簡介及導賞。約30位校友及親友先在崇基教職員聯誼會參加簡介講座及聚餐，然後到大埔滘自然保護區探索夜間生態。各參加者在一個多小時的考察，看到了點點發光的螢火蟲、夜間出沒的足節蟲、長腳盲蛛、蛙類、蠍子等都十分興奮、盡興而歸！

與機管局行政總裁對話暨機場探秘
本會舉行的「與機管局行政總裁對話暨機場探秘」已於2011年10月22日（星期六）下午順利舉行，共有四十位參加者出席，包括校友和其親友、本系教授和同學、友會電子工程學系校友會幹事等。是次活動分為兩個部份，首先由機管局機場運行總監伍翹楚先生及建築工程副總監潘嘉宏(Kevin Poole)分別介紹機場的運作、與香港社會和經濟發展的關係，以及機場短期和中長期的發展計劃。一眾參加者細心傾聽，對機場有了更深入和全面的認識，並提問了與機場的競爭力和推動經濟發展有關的問題。校友會委員薛力求校友代表本會向機管局致送了紀念品。
及後，一行人在機管局品牌及傳訊高級主任黃培光先生及品牌及傳訊高級主任游迪珊校友的帶領下進入機場禁區，首先參觀了綜合機場中心，了解機場的實時運作及意外處理。大家對該中心的複雜但極具系統的運作深感興趣，向黃先生提出了各類問題，經驗豐富的黃先生都一一詳細解答。緊接一行人抵達接近機場中部的停機坪，近距離觀察機場的中場發展(mid-field development)工程及飛機的滑行和起飛。大家都表現興奮，並拍攝了不少珍貴相片。

南北果州地質逍遙遊
衷心感謝各校友的支持，南北果洲地質逍遙遊才得以順利完成。雖然開始時下著不小的雨，也有些朋友臨時退出，但大家仍然是心情興奮的踏進船艙；可幸的是大夥到了北果洲後就停雨了，而且天氣也越來越好！除了要多謝大家的熱情參與外，我們亦要鳴謝這次活動的領隊 – 友晟旅遊的梁榮亨先生作島上的導覽，另外我們師兄的陳龍生教授 (78’ 崇基)，義務為大家講解了一整天的地質課，相信各位一定得益不少。

參觀中大霍英東遙感科學館暨衛星遙感地面接收站及校園樹木導賞
地理與資源管理學系校友會已於3月26日(星期六)下午舉行首個活動 – 參觀霍英東遙感科學館及中大樹木生態遊。當日共有四十多位校友、家屬親友及師承計劃學長參加，其中以1980年畢業校友最為踴躍。活動先由參觀位於聯合及新亞校園之間的霍英東遙感科學館開始，一眾校友除了耐心聆聽太空與地球信息科學研究所人員介紹衛星遙感接收站的工作，更對研究所內外的優美環境讚歎不已。感謝地資系系主任陳永勤教授和林健枝教授在百忙中亦專程抽空和眾校友小敘 ，為校友們帶來驚喜。中大綠色生活小組暨中文大學樹木計劃召集人左治強先生接續作校園樹木導賞，在新亞及聯合校園認識及欣賞各種樹木，大家都對一些特別的樹木品種如甜橙等驚訝不已！活動最後於李兆基樓舉行的「中大樹木之科學與藝術」展覽作結，不少校友都寫下心意卡，感謝樹木計劃小組仝人為推廣校園內一草一木作出的貢獻。

The first activity of CUGRMAA held successfully in March
The first activity of CUGRMAA – visit to the Fok Ying Tung Remote Sensing Science Building and CU tree walk was held successfully on 26 March (Saturday). Over 40 alumni, their family members and friends, as well as mentors joined the activity, with alumni from class of 1980 as the most supportive group. The tour started from visiting the Fok Ying Tung Remote Sensing Building. Staff from the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science introduced their projects to the participants and tour round the satellite station at the top of the building. Professor Chen Yongqin, Chairman of the Department, and Professor Lam Kin-che also dropped by in midway and gave the alumni a big surprise. It was followed by a tree walk conducted by Mr. George Jor, Project holder of CUHK Green Education Group and coordinator of the CU Tree Project. The tour started from NA to UC and ended at the Science and Arts of Trees of CUHK Exhibition in Lee Shau Kee Building. The alumni were so impressed by the tree tour and the hard work done by the Team and even more surprised to some species found on campus! At the end of the walk, many participants have left their heartfelt messages on the message tree to show their gratitude to the Tree Project Team on green education of CUHK flora.
