Frequently asked questions and answers:

I haven't studied geography in the secondary school, but I am very interested in geography. I would like to choose Geography as my first choice in my JUPAS. Is it possible?
Yes. Geography study in secondary school is NOT a requirement for admission to our programme.

How many students do your programme admit each year?
Our department admits about 40 students each year.

Do I have to put Geography as first choice to enter the programme?

Most admitted students have selected our programme as their first choice in JUPAS. You will be considered by the GRM programme first if you put GRM as your first choice. It is highly advisable that you put GRM as one of top 3 choices if you are really interested in joining our programme.

What are the general entrance requirements of CUHK GRM?

Please refer to JUPAS handbook or CUHK General Entrance Requirements.

When will the interview be held?

Before the release of the HKDSE results, candidates invited for interviews will receive individual notification by email.

Do the programme has heavier weightings on specific New Senior Secondary (NSS) subjects?

English Language.
