A Tribute to Professor Leung Cheuk Fai Jimmy (1952-2023)

It is with great sorrow that we mark the passing of Professor Leung Cheuk Fai Jimmy, a much respected colleague and a very good friend to us all at GRM.

A distinguished alumnus of our Department, Jimmy led an illustrious career in the planning profession in Hong Kong for over three decades. After his retirement as the city’s Director of Planning, he returned to GRM to serve as our adjunct professor, teaching planning courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Jimmy has been a staunch supporter of GRM. He played an active part in many of the Department’s activities, where we had the pleasure of learning from his wealth of professional experience in planning. He also donated to various departmental initiatives, including a scholarship named after his mother, Ms. Ho Siu Wah, for outstanding GRM students.

Jimmy will be dearly missed for his devotion to good causes and his generosity to everyone in GRM and beyond.
