Dear colleagues:

It is my pleasure to let you know that the continuation of our Commission has been approved by the IGU Executive Committee at the Tunis meeting in August, 2008. The new executive committee has been formed. Prof. Pavlos Kanaroglou is now the secretary of our Commission and I¡¦m the chair for 2008-2012. To facilitate the administration of our website, I would like to let you know that the URL for our Commission has now been changed into:

http://www.science.mcmaster.ca/~igu-cmgs/

We will redesign the website and will let you know when it becomes available. In the mean time, we will keep this old website in order not to lose contacts. You will be informed when we have the new website put in place. However, the above interim website will be employed as our communication platform in the future. The current website at CUHK will be eliminated when the final transfer is made. Thank you very much for your attention. I look forward to working with you to advance our mission.
