Summary:
This project pools together expertise in this university and in other tertiary institutions in Hong Kong to examine and review systemically and comprehensively developments in Shanghai since 1978. Emphasis will be placed, in particular, on rapid changes to China's largest metropolis since 1990, when Pudong was approved as a major project to accelerate development in this leading urban center in China. Some 25 researchers will collaborate on this joint project.
