Summary:
This is a major book project that attempts to document, evaluate and analyze China's new policy iniative to develop its western region. It involves the participation of about 30 scholars from Hong Kong and Mainland China to examine the challenges and opportunities of this new policy from a range of perspectives. It will follow a similar format to the previous volumes that the principal investigator has edited and published by the Chinese University Press. It is expected that the new book will have a large impact on academic and policy formulation.
