Colleagues of GRM Department visited the Asian International Rivers Centre (AIRC) of Yunnan University on 22 July 2009 to discuss collaborative initiatives of teaching and research activities. Subsequently the department and AIRC have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on developing collaborative teaching and research programs. The two parties will collaborate on student field study trips, joint research on sustainable tourism and forest resources management.
A delegation from Jiangxi Normal University (JNU), headed by Professor ZHAO Ming, Vice President of JNU, visited our department and discussed environmental protection issues with GRM colleagues on 5 October 2009. Student delegates from the Blue Sky Environmental Society of JNU exchanged their views and experiences in environmental NGO activities with CUHK student representatives from GRM department, Green World, and Greenpost.
